W. M. Schwind, Jr. Antiques and Fine Art was established in 1967 by Wilmont (“Bill”) Schwind, a Harvard-trained art historian.
Arlene Palmer Schwind, a graduate of the Winterthur Program and a former curator at the Winterthur Museum in Delaware, is a recognized authority in the field of glass and ceramics. She has published numerous books and articles and works as a consultant to museums and historic houses. She is also the part time curator of Victoria Mansion, Portland, Maine.
The Schwinds are knowlegeable antiquarians with broad interests and expertise.
From their shop in Yarmouth, Maine, and from the antiques shows at which they exhibit around the country, they provide antiques and fine art to serious collectors, museums, interior designers and people who want to furnish their homes with beautiful things from the past.
